How important is faith in today's world

Today we find ourselves in a world that is in a state of war. From small street groups to the big nations all are standing against each other, willing to destroy each other. And most of the people are dying for reasons not known to them. Confusion and anger is all around and no amount of wealth and education seems to be helping people to have peace in their lives.

Do you think faith (or Islam) can help in such circumstances…how?

Im really impressed with the way you write balouchi as I was able to understand all that you have said above. My way of speaking balouchi is one that you might hear in lyari and that also won’t be clear enough for many of you to understand.

Your above post about faith or imaan is excellent. I would like to carry your idea further in this post.

We can think of human heart like a very dark room the door of which is locked from inside. Our soul lives inside this dark room. The door of this room opens only when the soul declares that Allah is the Truth or Huq (and not just an imaginary concept created by some human minds). This is the beginning point of Imaan.

The light of guidance or noor-e-hidayat enters into the heart as soon as its door opens because Allah’s light or noor (which is also Rehmat) is always there in the whole universe, waiting at the door of each and every human heart.

The door of the heart opens with the strength of imaan and if our imaan is not strong enough then the door will open only a little and that much light will be able to enter the heart. The stronger the imaan, the wider the door opens and the greater the light enters inside the heart and Truth becomes clearer to the soul.

This means the soul is surrounded by things (in the heart) – things that are very hazardous and harmful (like Gharoor, Keena, Hasad, etc.) and things (like Insaniyat, Muhabbat, Darguzar, Insaf, etc.) that are very beneficial and helpful for the soul. The soul can have peace only when it sees the Truth clearly, or when it becomes able to avoid the harmful things and take the beneficial ones.

In other words, everything we say or do in this world is actually a reflection of our souls (or a reflection of the things that are going on in our hearts).

Can you imagine what will be the condition of a person who is stuck in a dark room and in that darkness he gets hit by one thing or another, very badly injuring himself on each step? Can he live in peace?
