NOOR KHAN BEJENJO:
A RENOWNED BALOCHI SINGER

Success is not the property of anyone. The Almighty God bestows a lot of treasures to his humans what he wants. All humans are equal in front of Him. He will not see poor and rich, caste and creed. Some figures (personalities) come to the world, pass their lives and when they pass away, they will be everlasting like blooming flowers.
The coastal city of district Gwadar, i.e. Pasni had brought up a personality, who was undying after the death. If Noor Khan Bezenjo was a beautiful name, if Noor Khan Bezenjo is not with us but his voice and songs are engraved in our hearts and souls. Today, a lot of villages at the coastal areas are known in the name of Noor Khan Bezenjo. Noor Khan was born at Pasni in 1971, in the house of Mir Ghulam Sarwar Bezenjo. And he got his M.A degree from the University of Balochistan.
Noor Khan at first stepped forward to the Balochi music. First of all, he learnt music from Ustad Ejaz Ali Pasni wala. Then, in 1986, he came to Karachi for further education and became the disciple of Ustad Umar Baloch. He learnt classical music from Ustad Umar Baloch. In 1987, he started singing eagerly.
His first album became flap. Then, his next cassette was released from the Balochistan music center in the name of “ Shirkinen Yaat” ( the sweet memoirs), and was liked and praised by the people a lot.
For the first time, in 1994, Noor Khan Bezenjo was given a chance to perform in the PTV Quetta Center.
Beside music, Noor Khan Bezenjo was a SST teacher (16 grade) at model secondary school Pasni in 1999 and he was suspended after six months of his posting. After being unemployed (suspended), he requested to the federal minister of education Zubaida Jalal and submitted and explanatory application. After a few days, the response of the application came and in which Zubaida Jalal had mentioned that the application will be considered. Noor Khan Bezenjo had written the application on 28th April, 2000. After being suspended, he hard labored to recover his job. But later,the education minister Zubaid Jalal gave no response to him.
Finally, he became unsuccessful and left his struggle. Besides, the local programmes (shows) Noor Khan also performed musical shows in Muscat, Qatar, Bahrain, Iran and Dubai.
In 1988, Noor Khan was invited to Dubai, by the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA). He had gotten award from Pakistan International Airlines (PIA).
Noor Khan Bezenjo left us (passed away) on Tuesday, 15th august 2003, and went to his eternal place. We pray to the God to bless his soul and bestow him Paradise and give patience to his family.
