Title: THIS & THAT ... (Beautiful Poetry of JAMEEL BALOCH /STONER)
Post by: Zahida Raees Raji on April 23, 2005, 11:05:17 AM
I've waited all my life
for a love to sweep me off my feet,
to carry me off into the sunset,
to dream the same dreams
Allah knew that I needed you in my life
so he sent you,
my Princess,
to protect me, to care for me,
to love me like there's no tomorrow
I thank him for giving you to me
I was lost without you
I was headed down the wrong path
and you saved me
from a world of heartache
not being able to fulfill my dreams
and to succeed in life
now we can do it together
you and me side by side forever
I want to be your partner in life
till death do us part
you're my life, my heart and soul, my everything
I can't lose you
not now and not ever
when i think of how life would be without you
tears stream down my cheeks
and my heart fills up
with pain of a lost love
I wouldn't be able to bare that much pain
you mean so much to me
you mean everything in the world to me
vow to be faithful and true to you
and remember,
I love you forever and for always

You are the chance I Love to take.
The Perfect picture, with no mistake.
The reason I'm smiling when I hate the world.
The greatest story that's ever been told.

You are the feeling that keeps me warm inside.
The constant little smile, I find so hard to hide.
The reason I believe In a little thing called True love.
Why I believe in Angels and Heaven up above.

You are the reason I try my hardest, to be the best I can.
In a race I knew I wouldn't win, you're the reason I still ran.
The answer to the question "Why I Love with all heart and soul?"
That something that came inside my heart and filled that giant hole.

You are my Woman, My Love, My Happiness, I hope that you can see,
"Anything that means anything to you, means Everything to me".
You are the reason I would fight when I know that I'd be beat.
The Greatest thing to ever happen to me and make my life complete.

Words...
Written on this paper;
an attempt
of trying to tell you
how perfect you are

Words, however,
fall infinitely short
of actually describing
your beauty
and the feeling I get
when you're around
When I stare
in your seemingly
perfect twinkling eyes,
I am entranced
When I listen
to your seemingly
perfect voice,
I am captivated

Words...
How weak they are
To give a kiss, I think,
says so much more
And to get a kiss from you
is all I could ever want

A CLOSE DISTANCE

I know two people with two separate lives,
Two minds living in two different worlds.
Two worlds that are felt, that are seen in the eyes,
In the eyes of one man and one woman.

Two worlds. Two people with two hearts.
They know their worlds are apart.
Two worlds with one wish under the sun,
One wish that two worlds will be one.

Two worlds. Two souls with one destiny.
Two loves that were meant to be.
Two paths intertwined into one road.
Someday, they’ll have each other to hold.

If you look close, I think you’ll find
That those two worlds are yours and mine.
And even though we’re worlds apart,
Your whole world is in my heart.

A FEELING

A feeling so deep,a feeling so pure
A feeling of comfort,feeling secure
Feeling special,a feeling of goodness
A feeling of care,a feeling of trueness
So close so near so much love we share
A feeling of emptiness if you weren't here
Do not ever want to let this feeling i feel go
Let this be something i'll forever know
What would i feel without you
Like i'm in a dark place all lonely
In a cold cold room, with no one to hold me
But while i'm with you
I feel like I'm in paradise
Your everything i want
I never want to leave this place
I'm not goin even front
You make me feel good with all that you do
I feel LOVED when i'm with you.

I Love you Jaan and i always will.........

I´ve been trying
To justify you..
In the end......
I will just defy you
To those who understand
I extend my hand
To the doubtful I demand
Take Me as I am..

Waiting
In the calm of Desolation
Wanting to break..
From this circle of confusion

Sleeping
In the depths of isolation ..
Trying to awake
From this daydream of illusion

A WOMAN

Her beauty flows from
The inside outwards
Reflected in her
Words of wisdom
Complex deep aloof
Yet mysterious

Compassionate
Sensitive and shy
Talking freely with others
Touching their lives
Knowingly and unknowingly

Tough troubled
Helps others in need
Unconditionally
Without judgement

Trustworhty and honest
Genuinely shows she cares
Through words of sincerity

Angered at times
Always completely forgiving
Her wit is sharp
humor quick

Her spirituality
Shining like a beacon
Accepted for herself
Will come into your life

Emptiness

Breathing lonely in the land of the living
Claiming to be forgetting and forgiving

Out of sight, lying awake at night,
Missing the ones for whom I used to fight

Blaming them for leaving me alone
Blaming them for making my heart a stone

I thought we agreed to leave together
I thought you’d be here forever

Why did you leave in such a hurry?
We haven't got till the end of the story

I was never afraid, of dying
But it cut so bad to see you lying

I never thought I’d see you there
I don’t think it’s even fair

You used to hold my hand in every step you find
Why, this time, you moved and left me behind.

Come back to me, take me along
I’ll cover your back all time long

They say now you're fine,
I wished you could always be mine

Hope you have someone to kiss you goodnight
And stay with you throughout the night

Holding you whenever you fall
Be there for you every time you call

Tell her you had someone who loved you
Someone who made your life new

Tell her how I used to hold you close
‘Cause I can feel it every time my eyes close

Hope you have a shoulder to cry on
I know, I got you to cry on

A Bed of Roses  (F)

Lay you down in a bed of Roses

Allow you to caress my soul

Live for the moment

When two parts can become whole

I see me in you

Feel you in me

Twisted into one as only real lovers can be

You are the wind of the hurricane

I’ll be the eye of your storm

You be the hills of the valley

I’ll be the sun keeping you warm

You will be in the places, I won’t allow others to see
You fill my emptiness, my shores to your sea

Needing you, like one needs breath to breath

Enter into each other, with a spiritual ease

Pick you up from the bed of roses

Walk on a rainbow over the clouds
Holding hands with one another

Two lovers standing proud

Just avoid the thorns on the stems

Just avoid the crowd

Keeping things silent

That you want to shout out loud

That I love you and that you love me

Upon the bed of roses, is where we only find peace.

A Forever Love

It came to me without warning
I suddenly felt this way one morning
I don't know how or why it happened to me
But I'm glad or I wouldn't have come to be

You changed my world so easily
As I love you so deeply
I'm happy just the way things are going
All because of the things you're doing

The things you do the things you say
Makes me really wanna stay
The way you laugh, the way you smile
Makes me think that life is worthwhile

No matter what happens throughout life
You'll be there to say something right
My feelings for you, all bottled up inside
Something that I can no longer hide

So I lay awake in my bed
With thoughts of you deep in my head
While I'm dreaming of you tonight
I know that tomorrow, I'll be holding you tight

No longer is my loneliness killing me anymore
You mended my heart, which was once torn
I thank you for that, now that we're together
I'm hoping we will be, from now 'til forever

A Growing Emotion

Love is like a miracle
Growing deep within
It’s a feeling no one understands
A battle you can’t win
It finds its way into the solid rock inside your soul
It digs and pushes at your heart and makes a little hole
Then something starts to happen when you’re not at all aware
It begins to grow inside you and you’re surprised to find it there
Inside the rocky soil of your heart the love begins to grow
And mixed with the sunshine in your soul it turns into a rose
I thought I’d give that rose away
A chance to save it from the flame
But instead my rose was turned down
And now it lives within a shroud
That little hole it dug itself
It is not a pocket for a rose
It’s now a graveyard for my woes
It is refilled with that solid rock and
Never again shall there be anything like
That
Dead
Red
Rose.

...Have you ever felt so helpless you didnt know what to do?
When you felt so lonely, and no one was there to help you through?
When the tears were there but no one saw them fall?
And your hope vanished and you were too weak to stand tall?
When you talked all you heard were the echoes of your voice?
You felt trapped and scared without a choice?
When the emptiness inside was too much to bear?
And when you asked for help... no one seemed to care?
When nothing in this world seemed to matter?
Since everything in life has been shattered?
When you realize there is no where to turn?
Because everywhere you step... no one is concerned?
When you try to find your way... but you are at a dead end?
When you try to see ahead... but nothing is clear?
And when you reach out.... no one holds your hand?
yes...
Life is not always fair
Sometimes its really hard to bear
If i could start my life again
I wonder where I would begin?
To what range
Would I make a change?
Most pay a price of which they know not the debt
If we could only discover how to forget...
Take the pain that hurts so deep inside
Let in the sunshne so pain cant hide
Take the broken fences in our world
Twist them, turn them give them a whirl
Yes, life is not always fair
It is really hard to bear...........................

To the people of Denmark

I have a story my friend
A message I would like to send
With a painful beginning but a happy end
1500 years ago people lived in a world so dark
No knowledge, no religion, nothing to spark
A gloomy world so gray
People did nothing but eat, drink and play
And to plenty false gods pray
If a baby was a girl, she was quickly buried away
Alive, with no guilt, how cruel were they
They had to have someone to enlighten their way
Someone so different, someone who could say
Leave the dark and invite them to day

A modest prophet carrying a message of peace
From Allah the One to release
All mankind, entire humanity
Who were away behind, from complete vanity
A message of love
That would take them above
The simple message is Allah the One
He, has no wife, he has no son
Everyone, has companions, He has none
All, this universe is by Him alone run
What He wants to happen, by a word is done
And when He wants to end it, everything is gone

My merciful prophet recited what he heard
From the Holy Spirit word by word
Sent by Allah the one, no second, no third

While the message was so simple to convey
Many stood in my kind-hearted prophet's way
They preferred darkness and on it they chose to stay
The light they fought, not only refused
They, were not mixed up, they were not confused
The truth they have definitely known
But they stayed on the darkness upon which they've grown

But my beloved prophet insisted
And all their trials resisted
He had to spread the religion raising Allah's name
My dear prophet had no other aim
Not money, not marriage, not even fame
For us he had to go through lots of pain
Whenever he was refused, he tried again and again

My prophet's message is simple and brief
Islam is simply the religion of relief
Worshipping one God is its main belief
It is not a religion of sorrow and grief
In Islam there is no slave, there is no chief
Islam is for everyone you know
For those high up, and those down low
Islam is a religion of love and respect
It's much more merciful than you expect
Islam came to enlighten
Not to threat and frighten
It is the religion of Oneness not of division
Then you are free to make your own decision

My patient Prophet who could not write or read
By love and mercy managed to lead
By loyalty and democracy indeed
Now you know him for sure
Islam is a religion so pure
The religion to which I belong
I know I kept you so long
But this is my religion and that's my prophet
That was my message, I hope you've got it.

One day, Plato asked his teacher, "What is love? How can I find it?" His teacher answered, "There is a vast wheat field in front. Walk forward without turning back, and pick only one stalk. If you find the most magnificent stalk, then you have found love." Plato walked forward, and before long, he returned with empty hands, having picked nothing.

His teacher asked, "Why did you not pick any stalk?" Plato answered, " Because I could only pick once, and yet I could not turn back. I did find the most magnificent stalk, but did not know if there were any better ones ahead, so I did not pick it. As I walked further, the stalks that I saw were not as good as the earlier one, so I did not pick any in the end." His teacher then said, " And that is love. "

On another day, Plato asked his teacher, "What is marriage? How can I Find it?" His teacher answered, "There is a thriving forest in front. Walk forward without turning back, and chop down only one tree. If you find the tallest tree, then you have found marriage". Plato walked forward, and before long, He returned with a tree. The tree was not bad but it was not tall either. It was only an ordinary tree, not the best but just a good tree. His teacher asked, "Why did you chop down such an ordinary tree?" Plato answered, "Because of my previous experience. I had walked through the field, but returned with empty hands! This time, I saw this tree, and I felt that it was the first good tree that I saw, so I chopped it down and brought it back. I did not want to miss the opportunity."

His teacher then said, "And that is marriage. You see son Love is the Most beautiful thing to happen to a person, its an opportunity but you don't
Realize! Its worth when you have it but only when its gone like the field of stalks. Marriage like the tree you chopped, it's a compromise; you pick the first best thing you see and learn to live a happy life with it."

There Is Only One Happiness In Life,
To LOVE And To BE LOVED!

I have run to the ocean
Through the horizon, chased the sun
I've waited for the light to come
And at times I would give up
You have wrapped your loving arms round me
And with your love I'll overcome
You have clothed me when I was weak
You have given unselfishly
Kept me from falling, falling
Everywhere but my knees

You set me free
To live my life
You became my reason to survive the great divide
You set me free

I've been on heaven's doorstep
With the door open, one foot inside
I've cried out "God, give me answers"
"Please hush child, I'll tell you why
You have loved Me when you were weak
You have given unselfishly
Kept you from falling, falling
Everywhere but your knees"

Ooh our love is beautiful
Ooh ooh isn't this beautiful?
Child it seems that you have been my everything
Our love is beautiful
Stood by my side while we survive the great divide
Isn't this beautiful?

You set me free
To live my life
You became my reason to survive the great divide

This poem was written by Mother Teresa and is engraved
on the wall of her home for children in Calcutta.

People are often unreasonable, illogical, &
self-centered; Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind, People may accuse you of selfish,
ulterior motives; Be kind anyway.

If you are successful, you will win some false friends
and some true enemies; Succeed anyway.

If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you; Be
honest and frank anyway.

What you spend years building, someone could destroy
overnight: Build anyway.

If you find serenity and happiness, they may be
jealous; Be happy anyway.

The good you do today, people will often forget
tomorrow; Do good anyway.

Give the world the best you have, and it may never be
enough; Give the world the best you've got anyway.

You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and
God; It was never between you and them anyway.   (F)

1. Give Allah what's right -- not what's left.

2. Man's way leads to a hopeless end -- Allah's way leads to an endless hope.

3. A lot of kneeling will keep you in good standing.

4. He who kneels before Allah can stand before anyone.

5. In the sentence of life, the devil may be a comma -- but never let him be the full stop.

6. Don't put a question mark where Allah puts a full stop.

7. Are you wrinkled with burden? Come to the mosque for a face-lift.

8. When praying, don't give Allah instructions -- just report for duty.

9. Don't wait for six strong men to take you to the mosque.

10. We don't change Allah's message -- His message changes us.

11. The mosque is prayer-conditioned.

12. When Allah ordains, He sustains.

13. WARNING: Exposure to  Allah may prevent burning.

14. Plan ahead -- It wasn't raining when Noah built the ark.

15. Most people want to serve Allah, but only in an advisory position.

16. Suffering from truth decay? Brush up on your Koran.

17. Exercise daily -- walk with Allah.

18. Never give the devil a ride -- he will always want to drive.

19. Nothing else ruins the truth like stretching it.

20. Compassion is difficult to give away because it keeps coming back.

21. He who angers you controls you.

The Gift Of Friends
by Karin Schaefer

There are days when
bubbling from us comes
the innocent child within,
who giggles at the little things
and wears a silly grin.

There are days when
melancholy comes to
visit for a while;
the mind feels tired, the body weak;
we have no strength to smile.

There are days when
joy abundant
grabs a hold of you and me;
wraps us up in all it's splendor,
lifts us up and sets us free.

There are days when
sorrow wraps us
in its cloak of grief and fear,
'till our hearts ache to the breaking,
'till our eyes can't shed a tear.

There are days when
love bestows us
with its wonderment and light;
with its beauty and its mystery,
its power and its might.

And there are days when
life rewards us
and seems to make amends
by granting us a marvelous gift,
the precious gift of Friends.  (F)

Whenever I walk to Suffern along the Erie track

I go by a poor old farmhouse with its shingles broken and black.
I suppose I've passed it a hundred times, but I always stop for a minute
And look at the house, the tragic house, the house with nobody in it.

I never have seen a haunted house, but I hear there are such things;
That they hold the talk of spirits, their mirth and sorrowings.
I know this house isn't haunted, and I wish it were, I do;
For it wouldn't be so lonely if it had a ghost or two.

This house on the road to Suffern needs a dozen panes of glass,
And somebody ought to weed the walk and take a scythe to the grass.
It needs new paint and shingles, and the vines should be trimmed and tied;
But what it needs the most of all is some people living inside.

If I had a lot of money and all my debts were paid
I'd put a gang of men to work with brush and saw and spade.
I'd buy that place and fix it up the way it used to be
And I'd find some people who wanted a home and give it to them free.

Now, a new house standing empty, with staring window and door,
Looks idle, perhaps, and foolish, like a hat on its block in the store.
But there's nothing mournful about it; it cannot be sad and lone
For the lack of something within it that it has never known.

But a house that has done what a house should do,
a house that has sheltered life,
That has put its loving wooden arms around a man and his wife,
A house that has echoed a baby's laugh and held up his stumbling feet,
Is the saddest sight, when it's left alone, that ever your eyes could meet.

So whenever I go to Suffern along the Erie track
I never go by the empty house without stopping and looking back,
Yet it hurts me to look at the crumbling roof and the shutters fallen apart,
For I can't help thinking the poor old house is a house with a broken heart.

A little girl and her father were crossing a bridge. The father was
kind of scared so he asked his little daughter, "Sweetheart, please
hold my hand so that you don't fall into the river."

The little girl said, "No, Dad. You hold my hand." "What's the
difference?" asked the puzzled father.

"There's a big difference," replied the little girl.

"If I hold your hand and something happens to me, chances are that I
may let your hand go. But if you hold my hand, I know for sure that
no matter what happens, you will never let my hand go."

In any relationship, the essence of trust is not in its bind, but in
its bond.

So hold the hand of the person whom you love rather than expecting
them to hold yours...

THE JAR OF MAYONNAISE

This mail should be read by those who have very little time in their lives.

When things in your life seem almost too much to handle, when 24 Hours
in a day are not enough, remember the jar of mayonnaise . . . and the coffee.

A professor stood before his Philosophy class and had some items in
front of him.

When the class began, wordlessly, he picked up a very large and empty
mayonnaise jar and
proceeded to fill it with golf balls.

He then asked the students if the jar was full.
They agreed that it was.

The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the
jar.

He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between

the golf balls.

He then asked the students again if the jar was full.

They agreed it was.

The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar.

Of course, the sand filled up everything else.

He asked once more if the jar was full.

The students responded with an unanimous "yes."

The professor then produced two cups of coffee from under the table and
poured the entire contents into the jar, effectively filling the empty
space between the sand.

The students laughed.

"Now," said the professor, as the laughter subsided, "I want you to
recognize that this jar represents your life.

"The golf balls are the important things - your God, family, your children, your health, your friends, and your favorite passions - things that if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full.

"The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your house, and your car.

"The sand is everything else--the small stuff.

"If you put the sand into the jar first," he continued, "there is no
room for the pebbles or the golf balls.

"The same goes for life.

"If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff, you will
never have room for the things that are important to you.

"Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness.

Play with your children.

"Take time to get medical checkups.

"Take your partner out to dinner.

"Play another 18.

"There will always be time to clean the house and fix the disposal.

"Take care of the golf balls first, the things that really matter.

"Set your priorities.

"The rest is just sand."

One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the coffee
represented.

The professor smiled. "I'm glad you asked.

"It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may
seem, there's always room for a cup of coffee with a friend."

Have you ever seen,
those innocent eyes?

Wide open,
staring at you.

Have you ever stared back?

Have you traveled inside,
to the land of innocence?
Where there are
no lies,
no gruesome thoughts.
Where the world is pure.

Have you ever seen
those beautiful innocent eyes of a child?

Just in case you ever get these two environments mixed up, this should make things a little bit clearer.

IN PRISON..........you spend the majority of your time in an 10X10 cell.
AT WORK............you spend the majority of your time in an 8X8 cubicle.

IN PRISON.........you get three meals a day.
AT WORK...........you get a break for one meal and you have to pay for it.

IN PRISON..........you get time off for good behavior.
AT WORK............you get more work for good behavior.

IN PRISON..........the guard locks and unlocks all the doors for you.
AT WORK............you must often carry a security card and open all the doors yourself.

IN PRISON..........you can watch TV and play games.
AT WORK..........you could get fired for watching TV and playing games.

IN PRISON.........you get your own toilet.
AT WORK..........you have to share the toilet with some people who pee on the seat.

IN PRISON..........they allow your family and friends to visit.
AT WORK............you aren't even supposed to speak to your family.

IN PRISON...........all expenses are paid by the taxpayers with no work required.
AT WORK............you get to pay all your expenses to go to work, and they deduct taxes from your salary to pay for prisoners.

IN PRISON..........you spend most of your life inside bars wanting to get out.
AT WORK .........you spend most of your time wanting to get out and go inside bars.

IN PRISON .......you must deal with sadistic wardens.
AT WORK...........they are called managers.

Now get back to work, you're not getting paid to check emails!

Shattered glass all around you
Scattered pieces of your heart
Wiping bloody hand with tears
Picking the cuts torn apart

Glimpses of dreams at the start
Linger without painless sway
In the end your feet are shot
Ashes and thorns keep your way

Confused and dazed, you walk away
Without any place to go
Your journey remains aimless,
Because the location, you just don't know

You see no one around you,
Though you try, you cannot scream
Heretofore, you've made this journey
But today, it's like a horrific dream.

You left me with goodbye and open arms
A cut so deep I don't deserve
You were always invincible in my eyes
the only thing against us now is time

Could it be any harder to say goodbye and without you,
Could it be any harder to watch you go, to face what's true
If I only had one more day

I lie down and blind myself with laughter
A quick fix of hope is what I'm needing
And now i wish that i could turn back the hours
But i know i just don't have the power

I'd jump at the chance
We'd laugh and we'd dance
And I'd listen close to your every word,
As if its your last, I know its your last,
Cause today, you're gone

Could it be any harder to say goodbye and without,
Could it be any harder to watch you go, to face what's ture
If I only had one more day

Like sand on my feet
The smell of sweet perfume
You close to me forever
and I wish you didn't go,
I wish you didn't go away
To touch you again,
With life in your hands
It couldn't be any harder
