If the career of the wife does not interfere with wife's duties at home like taking care of the home and children then it is better if she is career based because as an individual she has all the rights to establish herself and at the same time help her husband with the expenses of the house !!
but, if her career affect her house and she spend all her time at work then i think it is better for her to stay home and take care of the children !!
