In America there's a saying:

"One Man's Trash  , is another Man's Treasure  ."

Beauty is both a Subjective and an Objective thing.

No two people have the exact same opinion of "What Beauty Is?"

In the eyes of two people who are in the Infatuation Stage of a Relationship (the very beginning), no other thing in their world is more Beautiful than the person (boy or girl) who they are with. When the are together , All of Time stops and the world stands still. And no other person can dissuade them from this thinking, save for the person of their desire.

My sense of what is Beautiful, may not be the same as yours, but that is OKAY .

In my meager opinion, the ability to communicate thoughts and feelings with people of another culture and the process of doing it on their terms in their Native Dialect, is a most Beautiful Thing. To be able to see them as they see themselves, and not as a Foreign (or Domestic) entity would portray them is as Beautiful as finding the most precious Treasure in the most worthless Garbage. The ability to experience that which makes us Human, that is true Beauty.

Although i hate these kind of words BEAUTY LOVE FRIENDSHIP and like the people use to expose their selves and they think that is beauty especially these idiot pakistanies but actually in real sense beauty means PEACE,CALM,HAPPINESS,HEALTH AND INNOCENCY.

Salam, this topic has come up again but to my pleasure , with much more beautiful replies than last time =)
i've read all ur views and felt that every one is right in there own place




             beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder…
each person see's this world with
different lenses so the meaning of beauty differs from eye to eye…

In my present view point.. beauty is not of one kind that it may be defined… its not one thing to be put it words…
Its vast like the sky… we all look at the same sky . yet one says its blue..the other says its grey..the other says its fresh.. another says its polluted….
And So is beauty…




         
1. beauty may consist tidiness or cleanliness…
 Its true that the LOOK of the person has an impression of a persons beauty when first met… lik the example sister zahida gave…

I remember an uncle near our house had a messy beared and messy hair..and always wore cloths un-ironned and sometimes even tore off the last part of his dress bcoz it was long…. He used to call himself a MULLAH ,.. but since my childhood I've seen him as an unclean ugly person… though his features were not so bad…
His manners while eating.. he used to take an orange and squash it with his hands and then suck it … he used to say to his wife
(throw all the utensils) PROPHET MOHAMMED had only few dishes in his house..

 let me share some interesting information…

The western people in olden days used to take bath only 1's or 2's a YEAR!
The first massage, bath place was introduced by an INDIAN MUSLIM in west..
His name was Mohammad and therefore the place was called MOHAMMAD'S BATH…

Back to beauty.. I thought and still think that that man is ugly ..even though he's features r not so bad !

And yeah Prophet mohammad used to comb his beared and always saw that he was tidy before he went for prayers or a gathering





           

2. beauty of features.

Yes, some people do have beautiful features.. when u look at them u say " beautiful" with a sigh…
 I knew a girl who had a very beautiful face.. very delicate hands and very delicate way of dressing and talking…
But after a few years I felt SHE has  beautiful features, yet NOT BEAUTIFUL..
Why? Bcoz she was a liar, a backstabber and soo onn…

I do feel BEAUTY when someone speaks and acts gently,, truthfully ,, calmly ,, wisely.

That’s true sometimes we see the ugliest thing as the most beautiful just bcoz we love them..

Some people have beautiful souls, there understanding of nature, the feeling for God, there truthfulness, there simplicity, without "hasad", without hatred, they forgive, they are true people, not 2 faced,  there love goodness for everyone, they want everyone to be happy , the work for the sake of that everyone else is in peace , is not disturbed, and soo onn…

I feel beauty in the lakes, in the fields in the hills and valleys, in the eyes of a child,  in the voice of rain , in the feel of a rose petal, in the truthness , in simplicity, in gentleness , in kindness, in smiles, in the feel of Allah … in wisdom, in search of self,  in the eyes of a loved one, in an advice of an aunty, in the laughter. In the crush of waves, in taste of a fruit, in the first steps of a child, in a wise saying, in the pages of a book ,…….

Perhaps anything that makes the butterflies of your heart fly is beautiful =)

True beauty is the combination of all the above mentioned beauties…
Each one has different percentage of importance in my sight,, for eg: beauty of features is not so imp coz that’s not in our hand. That is pre determined…
But the rest have chance to be developed …
Don’t judge yourself as finished products…
U learn day by day, u have chances of becoming beautiful.. ur cleanliness, ur attitude, ur trueness,,, its all in ur hand….
